I think it should go without saying, but to stress, I’m going to love to say it again: women should be celebrated every single month of the year. Their successes, ambitions and perseverance are all deserving of an emoji raise-the-roof. Why did I say that? It’s plain and simple, they are amazing.
The 8th of March is recognized as the International Women’s Day, that means the ladies in our life deserve a little extra love. Although we should honour as many women as possible all year long.
In line with this year’s International Women’s Day, Women at Mouka are focused on enabling a gender-equal world for all.
Sometimes last month, we were commissioned to shoot a video campaign to celebrate and inspire women at Mouka Limited. It was inspiring to listen and work with women who are passionate about their gender and their role in making the world a better place for all to live.
At Mouka, they pride themselves as being a diverse and inclusive company in Nigeria, with various capacities contributing to the organization’s general goal of adding comfort to life. The campaign was made to celebrate and encourage women in the organization for being part of their success story.
Our team had an interview session with women from different departments in the organization in line with the theme for this year’s celebration – #EachForEqual. Their response was quite touching as they all spoke on the challenges of being a woman and they also encourage all women to be the best they can at every point in their life.
Mrs Ifeoma Okoruen the Head, Human Resources and Administration who said: “internally, there is a gender balance in terms of staff headcount in the organization. Female employees are also given the right opportunities to create equality with male staffs.” She also mentioned that at Mouka, “everyone is important and that they all have a role to play. We treat both genders as equal, knowing fully well that everyone has something to offer and give back to the world”.
Also, Mrs Ifeoma Adetunbi, a Customer Service Officer established the fact that women are very creative with the ability to multitask. They give the best out of everything they do.
We took time in documenting each process and it’s a wonderful experience we had with them.
As an advocate for gender equality, we would like to know: how would you help forge a gender-equal world?
